Save minutes as Markdown

Minutes generated in Reki note can be auto-written as Markdown files to a folder you choose. Combined with a notes app like Obsidian, you can collect your minutes into your own knowledge base. This page covers the settings and bulk export.

When minutes generation finishes, the content you selected is saved as a single Markdown (.md) file in the chosen folder. The file name and destination are automatic, so no manual work is needed.

If you point it at an Obsidian vault folder, minutes accumulate there as notes.

Configure it under Settings > Recording & minutes > Save minutes as md files.

  1. Turn on “Enable auto-save”.
  2. Under “Contents”, choose whether to save “Minutes”, “Transcript”, or both (at least one is required).
  3. Under “Select folder”, choose the destination. For Obsidian, choose your vault folder.
  4. Enter a “Subfolder” if needed (optional).

You can export the minutes you already have all at once, using “Bulk export” in the settings.

It writes all existing minutes to the folder above. Files with the same name are overwritten. After it runs, it shows the number saved, skipped, and the total.

If you turn on both “Minutes” and “Transcript”, both are included in one file.

Changing the subfolder name changes where future exports go. Files already exported are not moved.
