Reki note prompts you automatically when a new version is available. This page explains the update flow and what to do when it does not work.

How automatic updates work

When a new version is available, an update prompt appears in the app.

Depending on the update, you may need to update to the latest version to keep transcribing.

1. When the update prompt appears, press Update.
2. Once the download finishes, it shows that it is ready to install.
3. Press Update and restart to apply the latest version.

Updating while recording

While recording or transcribing, it cannot restart right away. If you are working, it shows “You can update after recording and transcription finish”.

Run the update once the work is done.

When the update fails

If the automatic update cannot finish, reinstalling the latest version repairs it.

Reinstalling keeps your saved content and settings. You do not need to remove the app.

1. Press Get the latest version in the prompt to open the download page.
2. Download the latest installer.
3. Install over the existing app without deleting it.
4. After installing, launch the app and your saved content and settings remain.
