처리 모드 선택하기(표준・로컬)

Reki note has a “processing mode” that decides where conversation data is processed. There are two: Standard mode, which prioritizes speed and cost, and Local mode, which prioritizes privacy. This page explains the differences and how to switch.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

The processing mode decides where the Reki note app itself processes conversation data, such as transcription and minutes generation. Switch it at the top of Settings > AI.

Choose based on whether you want processing to stay on your device, or you prefer the speed and cost of cloud AI.

Standard mode processes data with cloud services in a secure US region. It is the default optimized for speed and cost performance.

You can use all of the cloud features, including sync, sharing, and external AI integration.

Local mode keeps conversation data on your device and runs AI inside it. It suits cases where you handle confidential or customer information.

In return, it needs a device powerful enough to run AI locally. Use it together with a local LLM, local Whisper, or Mac built-in transcription.

The following features stop in Local mode.

  • Cloud transcription

  • External AI

  • Sync

  • Sharing

  • MCP server

  • Team storage

  • Work log capture

You cannot switch the processing mode while recording. Stop recording first.

  1. Open Settings > AI.
  2. Under “Processing mode”, select “Standard mode” or “Local mode”.
  3. Confirm the dialog and press OK. The app restarts automatically and returns to this screen.
  4. Your configured AI and sync settings are preserved.

Even in Local mode, you can individually allow the Claude CLI and Codex CLI after confirming the destination.

When allowed, only minutes, AI refinement, and chat content is sent to that CLI; sync and sharing stay stopped.

  1. Confirm that cloud AI is shown as stopped.
  2. Press “Allow and use” on the CLI you want (Claude CLI / Codex CLI).
  3. Review the content and destination, then allow it. To revoke, press “Revoke sending permission”.

For ordinary meetings, Standard mode is simple and recommended. If you handle confidential or customer information, consider Local mode once you have the required local setup.

For the transcription and AI settings used in Local mode, see the on-device transcription, local Whisper, and local LLM articles.
