Connecting a calendar lets Reki note read upcoming events and link them to recordings. Under Settings > Calendar you can set up Google Calendar, iCal, and Mac calendar. This page explains each.

Google Calendar integration
Section titled “Google Calendar integration”Connect your Google account to fetch calendar events automatically.
- Press “Connect Google Calendar”.
- A browser opens; grant access with your Google account.
- When it shows “Connected” you are done. To remove it, press “Disconnect”.
Register an iCal URL
Section titled “Register an iCal URL”Registering an iCal URL fetches events from Google Calendar, Outlook, and others automatically. It refreshes every 15 minutes.
To get event titles and content, set the calendar visibility to “See all details”. With “See only free/busy”, only time slots are shown. The iCal URL must be reachable from outside.
- Copy the iCal URL (.ics) from your calendar app settings.
- Register the URL with “Add calendar”. For organization calendars you can optionally enter the email address.
- Once registered, the number of events fetched appears.
Use the Mac calendar (Mac only)
Section titled “Use the Mac calendar (Mac only)”On Mac, you can read upcoming events from the macOS calendar. You can select which calendar to use and disable ones you do not need.
If no calendar is available, check the Mac calendar permission.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”-
Google connection fails: try again. You may need to sign in.

It shows “This device only”: a calendar was used on this device only. To see events in the web version or MCP, reconnect Google Calendar.

Event details are missing: change the iCal visibility to “See all details”.
