Even without your own API key, you can use transcription and minutes generation through our servers. This page explains the free quota and how to check usage.

What the free (managed) quota is
Section titled “What the free (managed) quota is”Turning on the free quota lets you use transcription and AI features through our servers without configuring an API key.
There is a monthly usage limit, and it resets every month.
Turn on the free quota
Section titled “Turn on the free quota”You can turn on the free quota from the AI section.
- Open Settings.
- Open AI.
- Turn on Use the free quota (do not use my own API key).
Check your usage
Section titled “Check your usage”In the free quota section you can check This month’s transcription and This month’s AI credits.
The reset date is shown as well.
When you reach the limit
Section titled “When you reach the limit”Once you use up this month’s quota, it tells you that upgrading your plan is required to continue transcription and minutes generation.
The free plan resets every month, so you can use it again the following month.
Using your own API key (BYOK) also lets you keep working without being limited by the free quota.
