連接 Codex CLI・Claude CLI
Reki note supports OpenAI’s Codex CLI and Anthropic’s Claude CLI. You can pick a CLI installed on your PC as the target for AI processing, so minutes, AI refinement, and chat run under your own subscription. This page covers how to connect and what to do when the connection fails.

What CLI integration gives you
Section titled “What CLI integration gives you”When choosing the AI used for “Data processing” in Reki note, you can pick a CLI (a command-line AI agent) installed on your PC instead of a cloud AI or a local LLM.
-
Claude CLI (Anthropic): process minutes, AI refinement, and chat with your Claude subscription.
-
Codex CLI (OpenAI): do the same with your Codex subscription.
Input is passed to the CLI over standard input, and the processing session is not saved. The CLI’s sign-in state and your subscription are used as-is.
Supported CLIs
Section titled “Supported CLIs”Two CLIs are supported. In both cases Reki note auto-detects an installed executable.
-
Claude CLI: the claude command (Anthropic’s Claude Code).
-
Codex CLI: the codex command (OpenAI’s Codex CLI).
If auto-detection fails, you can point to the executable directly under Settings > AI > Data processing.
How to connect
Section titled “How to connect”Install the CLI and sign in from Terminal first, then connect with these steps.
- Update the CLI to the latest version in Terminal (see “Update the CLI to the latest version” below).
- Open Reki note Settings > AI.
- In the “Data processing” section, select the “Claude CLI” or “Codex CLI” row. An installed CLI is auto-detected and shown as “Installed”.
- Press “Test connection” on the right of the row.
- When it shows “Connection verified” you are done. Minutes, AI refinement, and chat run through that CLI.
Update the CLI to the latest version
Section titled “Update the CLI to the latest version”When the connection fails, an outdated CLI may be the cause. Run the following command in Terminal to update it.
Claude CLI:
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-codeCodex CLI:
npm install -g @openai/codexIf you installed it another way, such as Homebrew, update it that way. After updating, press “Re-detect” in Reki note and run “Test connection” again.
Check the CLI sign-in state
Section titled “Check the CLI sign-in state”The CLI uses your personal subscription and sign-in state. If you are not signed in, the connection test fails. Run the following command in Terminal to sign in.
Claude CLI:
claude auth loginCodex CLI:
codex loginAfter signing in, press “Test connection” in Reki note again. Even if you were signed in before, a subscription change or a sign-out can cause failures, so check the state.
If it still does not work, contact us
Section titled “If it still does not work, contact us”If you cannot connect even after updating the CLI and checking the sign-in state, please contact us using the form below.
Including the CLI you use (Claude CLI / Codex CLI), your OS, and the message shown during the connection test helps us investigate faster.
